If the stain is fresh, you can wipe up tons of it off the carpet. You can then start pouring baking soda on the affected area before patting it with a paper towel. Allow the area to dry completely before you use a vacuum.

Beer

Beer is another ingredient you can use to try to get rid of coffee or tea stains out of your carpet. You just need to lightly rub beer into the stained area and the mark should disappear. If this doesn’t remove the stain completely, you can try again a couple of times.

Club Soda

As a pet owner, you already know that they love to use your carpet whenever they wish to urinate. The good news is that you can use club soda to get rid of pet urine and other tough to remove stains. What you can do is to blot up the urine with paper towels right away. Using club soda, soak the area before blotting again. You can then scrub the area with diluted carpet shampoo. This ingredient works well with coffee and tea stains too.

Cornstarch

If you think that the spilled ink on your carpet can’t be remedied, you might have never heard of how cornstarch can be used against this. To get rid of ink stain on your carpet, just mix milk with cornstarch to form a paste. Once it is ready, you can apply it on the stain and allow it to dry on your carpet for a few hours. When it is done, you can brush off the residue before vacuuming your carpet. Cornstarch also works well with grease and oil stains.

Hydrogen Peroxide

If you don’t have a clue as to what the stain on your carpet is from, the best way you can remove it is by using a mix of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide and a dab of non-gel toothpaste or some cream of tartar. Use a soft cloth to rub the paste on the stain before rinsing. It should be gone after this.

Meat Tenderizer

If you have some meat tenderizer in your kitchen cupboard, you can get rid of blood stains on your carpet without resulting to using bleach. You simply have to cover the affected area with equal parts of meat tenderizer and cold water. Let the mixture stand for 30 minutes before using a sponge with cold water to remove it.

Salt

Salt is an excellent ingredient you can use to get rid of spilled red wine on your carpet. With the stain still wet, you simply have pour a little white wine to dilute its color. Using a sponge and cold water, clean the spot before sprinkle the area with salt. Leave alone for 10 minutes before vacuuming the area.

Although shaving cream isn’t something you can see in your kitchen, it’s likely that you already have this at home. You can use shaving cream to try and get rid of juice on your carpet. You simply have to blot the stain, pat the area with a wet sponge, and then put some shaving cream over it. You can then wipe the area with a damp sponge. This product also works in getting rid of grease and oil stains.

Vinegar

When it comes to removing stains, vinegar works wonders. Depending on how stained your carpet is, you will need to try and use different procedures to try to get rid of the problem. If you’re working with a light carpet stain, you simply need to rub a mixture composed of 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 tablespoons salt. Once the solution has dried, you can vacuum it after. But if the stain is larger or darker, you can add in 2 tablespoons of borax to the mixture and follow the same process.

Ice Cubes

If chewing gum accidentally dropped on your carpet, you can still remove it without using harsh chemicals. The first thing you need to do is freeze the gum with ice cubes in a plastic bag. Use a butter knife next to scrape the gum before blotting with a dry-cleaning fluid known as trichloroethylene.

These are just a few of the things you can use to get rid of carpet stains. If the problem proves to be more troublesome than you expected, you can bring your carpet to a professional carpet cleaning company so that it can be rescued. When it’s returned to you, you’ll see that your carpet will look like it is brand new.
